I still think either a virtual stick or designated swiping zone for nudging is needed. That being said, the ipad nudging mechanic sucks because you sometimes trigger 'double' nudges which causes a tilt or you fail to trigger a nudge at all. I have never been a fan of zen's take on 'infinite' nudging but have come to realize that is very important because the table designers seem to love timed missions.
